Thank you to all of our delegates, presenters and industry partners for your attendance at E-AHPBA 2021. Each stakeholder made the virtual 14th E-AHPBA Congress an extraordinarily collaborative, information-packed scientific meeting. There were over 800 abstracts submitted, over 1000 presentations during the Congress and we were joined by over 800 delegates from over 60 countries. Although we could not meet face-to face in Bilbao, we hope you were able to feel welcomed by the Spanish Chapter and E-AHPBA in a virtual setting.
Some of the wonderful and challenging sessions we enjoyed throughout the programme included the Champions League session: a critical cutting-edge review of late-breaking clinical trials that directly impact how we work; The Bismuth lecture from Professor Daniel Casanova and also the Presidential lecture from Professor Kevin Conlon; 16 exclusive, interactive Meet the Professor Sessions; The Women in Surgery Session focusing on Education to Diversity and Inclusion hosted by Professor Dr Michelle De Oliveira, Dr Amelia Hessheimer and Professor Kevin Conlon where speakers from across the globe offered personal testimony, discussing ways to overcome adversity and build resilience, with a focus on the specific challenges women face in our field.
The programme was absolutely packed and if you missed anything over the Congress, we can now advise that all sessions from the Congress are now available to view on demand. For those who were registered participants, just click through on the virtual conference portal link: crowdcomms.com/eahpba2021. Soon, we hope to have the main sessions available to all members via myHPB, our member resource area.
