IHPBA 2018 – Welcome from the IHPBA President

It is now less than 3 months until the 13th IHPBA World Congress which is shaping up to be a superb event.  IHPBA and E-AHPBA have had a very successful collaboration with Professor Clavien and his Local Organising committee and we are looking forward to hosting an outstanding conference in the beautiful location of Geneva from 4 – 7 September.

A record number of abstract submissions were received, and the Scientific Committee, led by Professor Parks, has worked very hard to put together an extremely high quality scientific programme. You can now explore the IHPBA2018 programme with our interactive iplanner where you can plan and personalise your congress experience with ease.

A new and innovative feature of the 2018 programme is the thirteen partner society sessions which are being coordinated by Professor Clavien and the Local Organising Committee.

The unique and diverse programme is highly topical and will provide excellent opportunities for learning and discussion. Internationally renowned speakers will take part including three living legends and six keynote lecturers.

Geneva team has a spectacular social programme planned.  The Gala Dinner at Circus Knie on Thursday evening is the social highlight; don’t miss the opportunity to experience this thrilling, world-class show. Celebrated artists are carefully selected every year, and add to the diversity and excellence of the performance.  Purchase a ticket when you register, or if you have already registered, email to add one to your booking.

The biennial IHPBA World Congress rotates around our three regions and only takes place in the European-African-Middle East region every six years. Do not miss the opportunity to attend this fabulous congress.   If you have not already registered, please do so by 11th July to save up to $100 on your registration fees.  Register online at

We look forward to seeing you in Geneva this September!
